Kenneth Thomas Bell was born in Bermondsey, East London, in 1937. He was one of 6 children, living in a 2 bedroomed flat, at 7 Vine Lane. Ken and his family were evacuated to Devon during the Second World War and were temporarily at Whitchurch House, home of the Beaver Family, in Tavistock. Forever grateful to the Beaver Family for their kindness and hospitality, Ken has been settled in the South West ever since.
